Anbagam is a home for hiv +ve children and women.it was started in the year 2003. Now 25 children and 5 women are residing here. This home is not run by individual or trust.it was running with the help of public support. This home received only the medicines from govt side.Aids control society is provide the free tablets to maintain their immunity level. Presently they people’s are suffering for food, education and residance. 11 are school going children. 10 kids are below 5 years, one baby completed one year. Three babies are under six months.these 3 babies are lack of breast feed, so they lived with the help of milk powder.[LACTOGEN NO-1 FOR BABIES BELOW 6 MONTHS COST IS Rs 160 PER PACK.Nearly 6 to 7 packets need for one child.] All are orphans, some of their parents are died due to aids , some babies are abanded by their parents after birth {by throwing in between the hospital wastages}.these babies are identified by some kind hearted peoples and joined here Very congested accommodation only 5-6 peoples can living in the small place, with no other option 25 peoples are stay here. This home has not a permanent place, now they are staying in private building with monthly rent of rs 3000. Many of the widow's affected by hiv are put to suicide with their babies,because in rural areas' peoples are not aware of AIDS and discriminating these peoples. some of them are mentally affected and losing their confident in their life, and commited suicide.
